SUMMARY:Deer Island Birding with Paul Mansz
DESCRIPTION:A fall day on Deer Island can run the gamut from fairly quiet to quite exciting – we never know what this trip will bring us!A number of sea birds can be seen from the ferry\, and once on the island we will be looking for lingering migrants as well as newly arrived wintering birds. We will check a number of overlooks of fresh and salt water\, enjoy a picnic lunch\, and possibly visit the lighthouse at Green’s Point. \nRecommended Age Group:\n12+ (younger participants welcome with an accompanying adult) \nMobility and Accessibility:\n2-3 hours of light walking with frequent pauses\, across 3-4 stops combined\, and an hour milling about the campground at lunch. No steep hills but terrain can be uneven in places where we step off the road. \n  \nThis event is for Nature Saint John members only. Become a member today!
