SUMMARY:Volunteer Orientation Session - Shorebird Conservation and Education Project
DESCRIPTION:Our Shorebird Conservation and Education Project returns to Irving Nature Park from August 22 to September 20\, and we’re looking for volunteers to help protect migrating shorebirds during this important time of year. \nVolunteers help by spending 2.5-hour shifts on weekends (including Labour Day Monday)\, scheduled around high tide when shorebirds are resting. No experience is needed. We’ll provide all the training you need\, plus snacks and refreshments. \nJoin us for our Volunteer Orientation at The Barn on Sand Cove Road\, just before the entrance to Irving Nature Park. \nAt the session\, you’ll learn about the project\, the shorebirds you’ll see at the beach\, and how to engage with visitors to help everyone share the shore responsibly. \nThe Shorebird Conservation & Education Project is made possible through the support of the New Brunswick Wildlife Trust Fund and the New Brunswick Environmental Trust Fund.
