SUMMARY:Volunteer Info Session - Shorebird Conservation and Education Project
DESCRIPTION:Our Shorebird Conservation and Education Project runs from August 23 to September 21\, and we’re looking for volunteers to help protect the beach’s vital shorebird roosting area during this critical migration period. \nAt this orientation session\, Hank Scarth will introduce the project and the amazing shorebird species you’ll encounter. Nancy Hamilton will follow with practical tips for engaging with the public and helping beach visitors understand how to share the shore responsibly. \nVolunteers are needed for 2.5-hour shifts on weekends (including Labour Day Monday)\, timed around high tide. No experience necessary\, we’ll provide full training. Snacks and drinks provided. \nVolunteers are loaned an official ID vest to wear during shifts. You’ll also receive a Shorebird of the Year ball cap which is yours to keep as a thank you! \nThe Shorebird Conservation and Education Project is supported by our funders at the NB Wildlife Trust Fund\, the NB Environmental Trust Fund and Birds Canada. \nPlease register now to attend this session: Register your Spot - Volunteer Info Session - Shorebird Conservation and Education ProjectPlease enable JavaScript in your browser to complete this form.Name *FirstLastEmail * \n Club? you or\n \n \n Are you a new or returning volunteer with the Shorebird Conservation and Education Project? *I'm a new volunteerI'm a returning volunteerAre you a member of the Saint John Naturalists Club? *--- Select Choice ---YesNoI want more information on membership.Any comments or questions?Submit
