Birding Irving Nature Park with Hank Scarth

May 28 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am
Free

Registration opens for members on May 7th (check your newsletter or Heylo).
Registration opens for everyone else on May 11th.

Join us for a birding walk with Hank Scarth at the Irving Nature Park!

We’ll start on the Broken Ankle Trail (you’ll have to join us to hear the story behind the name), making our way to the lagoons, Children’s Forest Road, Sheldon Head Trail, and down to the marsh and boardwalk.

This walk is rated moderate, covering 4–5 km with uneven terrain, potentially wet areas, and one uphill climb. Sturdy, waterproof footwear is advised.

All experience levels are welcome whether you’re brand new or have been birding for years. Hank is great at helping people learn birds by both sight and sound.

We’ll see some of our regulars like chickadees and Blue Jays, spot some waterfowl like American Wigeon, and hopefully catch some migrants like Yellow Warbler, American Redstart and more.

We’ll have a few binoculars available for those who are new.

Free event, but registration is required and spots are limited.
