Set-Up & Tear-Down Crew (Monthly Meetings, Workshops & Other Events)

This role helps prepare the space for our monthly club meetings, held the third Thursday of each month (September–May) from 7:00–8:30 PM at the Rockwood Park Interpretation Centre. Tasks include setting up chairs and tables, organizing the welcome table, and putting things away after the meeting. We’re building a crew so volunteers can rotate. At least two helpers are needed each month. It’s a great way to support the club!

Hybrid/Zoom Tech Support (Monthly Meetings)

This volunteer ensures smooth hybrid setup for our monthly club meetings (third Thursday, September–May, 7:00–8:30 PM at the Rockwood Park Interpretation Centre). Responsibilities include setting up and managing the Zoom call, connecting audio/video equipment, sharing the presentation screen, and assisting with Q&A from remote attendees. Tech knowledge is a must, and reliability is key. We’re building a team to share the role. Training and support are available.

Workshop Presenters

Do you have a nature-related skill, topic, or idea you’d like to share? We’re looking for volunteers to lead workshops for our club. Whether it’s birding basics, nature photography, plant ID, or another topic, we’d love to hear your idea. We’ll help with promotion, logistics, and developing your presentation.

Outing Leaders

We’re looking for volunteers to lead nature outings and field trips—whether it’s a casual walk, a birding day, or a special destination. Leaders help choose the location, set the pace, welcome participants, and keep things running smoothly. You don’t need to be an expert but comfortable guiding a group and sharing your interest in nature. We’ll support you with promotion and logistics.
