PLBO Reports: Saturday April 25th (Morning)

Morning Report

Weather: Overcast, +4C, seas calm.

Count started 7:00 AM, finished 11:00 AM.

Four participants, Bonnie Glynn, Joanne Mawhinney, Jean and Jim Wilson.

Total birds flying east during count periods 373, traveling west 57.

Species seen: Common and Red-throated Loon, Double-crested Cormorant, Common Eider, Red-breasted Merganser, Black, Surf and White-winged Scoter, Harlequin, Long-tailed Duck, Black Guillemot, Common Murre, Razorbill and Brant.

A Merlin haunted parts of the Point but didn’t catch anything as far as we know.

There were very few passerines around the tip of the Point with only a few Song and Savannah sparrows present.
