Weather: Sunny; wind east @ Beaufort 3-4; seas relatively calm; visibility 38km

Continuous counting recorded in 15 minute blocks (the standard protocol is 15 minutes of observations followed by 15 minutes of rest)
Very little activity and very few parked birds.
Seabird counts:
Eastbound 218, Westbound 5 (standard count periods);
Eastbound 411, Westbound 16 (rest/break periods)
Species observed over the bay: Common Eider, Black, Surf, and White-winged Scoters, Red-breasted Merganser, Canada Goose, Brant, Harlequin Duck, Common and Red-throated Loon, Double-crested Cormorant, Black Guillemot, Razorbill, Common Murre, American Herring, Great Black-backed and Ring-billed Gulls, Northern Gannet
Parked birds: 1 Harlequin Duck, 1 Common Loon, 1 Red-throated Loon, 4 Black Guillemot, 11 Razorbill, 1 Common Murre
A couple Song and Savannah Sparrows consumed seed in front of the building.
No raptors were observed.
The woods and fields were not explored.

From Noon to 4:00 PM
Weather: Clear, Beaufort (Bf) 4 to 3, Winds North East, 10 Deg Celsius and seas moderate to calm. Visibility 38 km, Tide Receding.
Observers: Paul Martin, John and Nancy Middleton
During Counts:
Eastbound: 94 Birds
Westbound: 15 Birds
Rest Period Counts
Eastbound 39 Birds
Westbound 0 Birds
Total birds seen East 133 West 15
Species observed over the bay:
Common Eider, Black Scoter, Red-breasted Merganser, Common Loon, Red-throated Loon, Black Guillemot, American Herring Gull, Double-crested Cormorant, Great Cormorant, Razorbills, Harlequin Duck, Purple Sandpiper and Greater Black-backed Gull.
Parked: Common Eider (4), Great Cormorant (1), Harlequin Duck (4) , Common Loon (3), Double- Crested Cormorant (4) Red-breasted Merganser (3), Black Guillemot (2), Purple Sandpiper (25) and Razorbill (3)
Other Observations: 2 Song Sparrow, 3 American Crow, and a Bumble Bee. A coupe of seals and porpoise observed. The White-tailed Deer, as well as 2 Palm Warblers were hanging out over by the lighthouse in the woods.
