For most people,visiting Machias Seal Island is a true bucket-list experience. Opportunities to land on the island and observe seabirds from inside the enclosed research blinds are extremely limited and highly sought after.

The Day’s Catch will sail from the Seal Cove wharf to Machias Seal at 1:00 PM on July 25th after a short safety briefing. Participants should arrive at the wharf by about 12:45 PM. Approximate round-trip time is a minimum of 5.5 hours, meaning we’ll return to the wharf at Seal Cove no earlier than 6:30 PM. This will be too late to catch the last ferry of the day to the mainland because you have to be at the ferry terminal by 6:30 PM and the drive from Seal Cove to the ferry terminal is about 20-25 minutes. So everyone will need to stay on Grand Manan the night of Saturday, July 25th.
