Exploring Moths with Joanne Savage

Curious about the world of moths? Uncover the hidden wonders of these incredible insects that call our backyards home. Come to the Rockwood Park Interpretation Centre on Thursday October 2nd, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, and meet Joanne Savage from the Saint John Naturalists Club. She’ll be sharing her discoveries about moths right from her backyard in Quispamsis, NB, where she has counted well over 800 different species of moths.

Moths might not get as much attention as butterflies, but they have their own charm. Joanne has been keeping an eye on these creatures for years and has some amazing photos to prove it. Get ready for a relaxed and interesting talk where Joanne will tell us all about moths – their habits, their beauty, and their importance in our local environment. She’ll also offer some tips on how to get started with “mothing” and share information about helpful reference guides.
