Winter Birding for Beginners with Julie Bauer (Wells Recreation Park)

Winter is a fantastic time to learn about birds. Join Julie Bauer from the Saint John Naturalists Club to discover the birds that spend the winter in our area. Registration is required to reserve your spot.
Birding can be defined as the observation of birds in their natural habitat. Birding is a great way to inspire a connection to nature, and it keeps your mind and body active and healthy.
If you do not have binoculars, we have a small number available for loan.

Birds we may see:
The following woodland birds are commonly seen in our area during the winter:
American Crow, Black-capped Chickadee, American Goldfinch, Blue Jay, Mourning Dove, European Starling, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Downy Woodpecker, Hairy Woodpecker, Purple Finch, Golden-crowned Kinglet, Northern Cardinal and many more!
