Weather: Mostly cloudy with gusty NNE winds and approaching rain. The rain covered much of the province. These showers arrived around 2:20PM. Notes: Widespread precipitation to the north and east prevented any notable migration from taking place. Its arrival forced an early end to observations.
Highlights: A Red-shouldered Hawk passing almost directly overhead.
Birds going for the decoy: None
Raptor interactions: Merlin and Sharp-shinned Hawk (aggressor listed first)
Non-raptors: No movement was noted.
Tomorrow: Currently, weather prediction models appear to be in agreement. We can expect to see sun with some clouds and northwest winds for Monday and Tuesday. Such conditions are likely to produce a good early season flight. With a good number of birds expected and northwest winds to bring the birds right to the site, there will be good opportunities for viewing and need for more eyes on the skies.
